I recently re-watched the movie that won the Oscar for best achievement in Directing, Life of Pi, which inspired me to post Football Tiger.
1) Hull City AFC Redesign:
Check out this interesting redesign by Austin Holloway, a graphic designer currently based in Tacoma, WA.
Note: Overall I really like the oval logo on the right, although it might feel a little too Asian for Hull City. The red color and circular shapes resembles a Chinese Zodiac symbol, see: Chinese Zodiac Tiger
2) “Growling Tigers”:
The following design work is not an official Nike project, but I think it looks cool anyways. Check out the conceptual redesign of the “Growling Tigers”, by Terence Eduarte, a graphic designer / illustrator from the Philippines.
Case study: “University of Sto. Tomas is the home of the Growling Tigers. The challenge is to create a Nike sub-brand concept for the Growling Tigers. Come up with designs that will represent the character and attitude of the Growling Tigers (see full project).
I hope you enjoyed these features. I love to showcase unofficial work from time to time. It’s above all the quality that counts. Thanks for visiting Footy Design!
PS: “We have lost 97% of wild tigers in just over a century… As few as 3,200 exist in the wild today.” Visit World Wild Life to see how you can help. They also have a beautiful website design ;-)
